Lunarline is seeking an experienced Database Administrator/Information Security Professional to provide support for a program that performs scans on 4,000 host devices. This program is composed of annual, monthly, and periodic Ad Hoc or Emerging Threat scans. The DBA will be responsible for database management, design, troubleshooting and configuration of Microsoft SQL databases.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work directly with client to create automated tasks using PowerShell scripts
  • Maintain a record of systems scanned and reports sent in the government-provided SQL database.
  • Coordinate with approximately 500 unique units’ IT staff to schedule and pre­pare for recurring security scans of assets physically located at the IDCs.
  • Use Tenable Security Center Continuous View (Nessus) to schedule scans according to unit staff’s day / time preferences.
  • Generate and provide Basic Risk Reports (BRRs) via email for all servers scanned during recurring, Ad Hoc, and / or Emerging Threat scanning events.
  • Perform remediation scans and provide BRRs.
  • Prepare Residual Risk Reports (R3s), Security Assessment Reports (SAR) (for release by government personnel) for unit Executives for all systems scanned during recurring, Ad Hoc, or emerging Threat scanning events.
  • Experience with database creation, maintenance, data loading, etc.
  • Experienced PowerShell Programmer
  • Knowledge of report writing through Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services in creating required and ad-hoc reports.
  • Clear and effective communicator - both oral and written.
Advanced Skills/Qualifications desired:
  • Experience with scans using Tenable Security Center Continuous View (Nessus) or other vulnerability scanning tools
  • Experience with MS Windows and Linux common vulnerabilities, patching, and sys­tem administration.

Minimum Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • The following certifications (more than one is preferred): Lunarline, Inc. School of Cybersecurity “Certified Expert” certifications.
