Web Designer/Developer Intern

Forward-thinking and growing cyber security company is looking to bring on an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the web design and digital media landscape. He/she will need strong critical thinking and design skills to integrate into our growing and passionate team. AMAZING OPPORTUNITY.
You will be working with a small, distributed team of designers and developers. This role will help you build skills in new web-based technology using the latest web design trends and opportunities to apply new technologies to existing web properties.
  • Support the web design/development team in meeting deadlines for deliverables
  • Create optimized content and graphics for websites
  • Maintain websites in terms of content, images and code
  • Create wireframes/mockups from sketches or notes
  • Follow brand guidelines in every piece of creative produced
  • Use attention to detail to validate work before review
The ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Effectively complete a high volume of production tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Take any requested changes, updates or feedback in stride while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Work with a sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Be comfortable in an environment where priorities can shift and collaboration is critical to success
  • Add creative, relevant input to projects and can explain their thought process
  • Recent college graduate or working towards a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a focus on Web Design, UI/UX or related coursework
  • Currently use Wordpress CMS and have knowledge of popular plugins
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe CC software for graphics and web
  • Some development experience with HTML5 and/or CSS3
  • Familiar with cross-browser and mobile device compatibility
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate with team members effectively
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Organized and possess a keen eye for detail
  • Possess high standards for any work they produce
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and changing requests
Time Commitment and Pay:
  • The internship will run for 90 days. Internships are unpaid; however, travel reimbursements are available to help offset the costs of the intern's commute. In addition to the travel subsidy, where available we will work with the intern to gain school credit. Exact work schedules are flexible and can accommodate school requirements.
