The internship will provide an undergraduate student an opportunity to gain experience in a very fast-paced, small business environment.  We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to work directly with the Human Resources Department.  This person MUST have an eye for excellence; every detail matters.  We are passionate about our customer delivery; we are TEAM-centric; we want someone joining our team with that passion and drive!
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide updates to HR forms and other documentation to streamline and enhance the user experience
  • Maintain complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law
  • Assists with logistics for job fairs, open houses and other company initiatives
  • Participate in weekly team meeting and provide any insight or contributions you may have related to the HR Department
  • Spend time observing and learning about employee relations, benefits and other major human resources functions
  • Partake in the new hire orientation process and assist with the maintenance of employee forms and files
  • Maintain basic knowledge of legal federal and state regulations affecting human resources functions to ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
  • Assist with operational tasks and administrative functions within the human resources department
  • Work with different departments to develop an in-depth understanding of the organizational structure
  • Scanning documents and maintaining SharePoint tracking, i.e. ensuring that all employee certifications are documented on the employees’ HR Dashboard
  • Reviewing documents efficiently for grammatical errors and involvement in the revision process as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe/PDF (particular to creating forms using developer or other design features)
  • Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
  • Strong internet skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Pursing a degree in Human Resources required
  • Must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
